Saturday, October 6, 2012: 10:30 AM-11:20 AM
Planet Hollywood: Sunset 3
NASPE/Meeting the Needs of Today’s K-12 Students and Schools
Speakers: Paul B. Rukavina, Adelphi University, Garden City, NY; and Jennifer Didier, Sam Houston State, Huntsville, TX
At this session, a framework will be presented on how teach to K-12 students “how to learn” from an ecological perspective. Discussion will center on how to prepare pre-service and in-service teachers to integrate ‘motor learning concepts’ into their curriculum. Participants will leave the session with an understanding of how these learning concepts can enhance the learning of their students and will take home valuable examples to implement in their classrooms.
