This session will report on the effectiveness of using existing course work to prepare PETE majors to direct Afterschool Physical Activity Programs. This interactive session will be presented with preliminary findings from a pilot project where a course and the associated learning outcomes were transformed to include a PETE major’s ability to plan, prepare, and deliver afterschool programming (physical activity based) to a local elementary school. Future directions and collaborations will also be discussed.
