Speaker: Paul M. Wright, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL
The Partnership for 21st Century Learning advocates teaching students life skills such as leadership and responsibility. Hellison’s responsibility model will be discussed as a best-practice for teaching life skills through PE. Learner objectives for this session are that attendees will: (1) understand how PE can directly promote 21st century life skills, and (2) become familiar with a number of instruments that can be used to evaluate program effectiveness and student learning in this area.
