Georgia HB 229 requires that all public school students be given annual fitness assessments. As a pilot, teachers in five districts were trained to administer the FITNESSGRAM® in 2011. A team from Georgia State University evaluated that pilot and the 2012 statewide implementation. This session describes the training teachers received, the reliability of teachers’ scoring, and presents an analysis of time needed to test students. Implications for PETE programs are discussed.
