Health Optimizing Physical Education (HOPE) is designed to help learners acquire knowledge and skills for lifelong participation in physical activity for optimal health benefits. HOPE teachers will need a knowledge base that is both different from and much broader than what is provided in initial PETE programs today. The purpose of this session is to describe that expanded knowledge base and provide examples of program design and learning activities for future HOPE teachers.
