Group dynamics that occur within successful physical education departments is a relatively unexplored topic. Considering the unique working conditions that often impact physical education, it is valuable to explore the relationships that occur within and around middle school physical education departments that have sought and received voluntary recognition. The information from this study will highlight the intricacies of dynamics that occur within and around these departments and will help to provide insights on successful programs.
