All games have a structural design. Game structures have more meaning when children design them to solve problems while they play and plan them. Using a constructivist approach, this play-discuss-play directed session leads participants through a sequence of tag game progressions, learn about and apply tag skills/tactics, as well as learn about teaching strategies/concepts for all child-designed games. Our panel will discuss the connections to the SHAPE America standards and assessments. This session is ideally suited for elementary physical education instructors for grades 3-5.
