An extant body of research investigating links among physical self-concept, personal and social factors, and physical activity participation currently exists. Yet, society is continually plagued with large numbers of obese and unhealthy adults and children. Therefore, this session will focus on practitioners connecting theory to practice and utilizing research-based strategies that can positively impact physical self-concept and physical activity participation among both children and adults.
