459 The edTPA: Benefits and Implications Impacting PETE Programs

The high stakes nature of the edTPA has PETE faculty considering whether they have done everything to prepare their teacher candidates to succeed on this new exam. This session, led by three national scorers, will give PETE faculty tools for conducting an informal program evaluation; embedding edTPA components into the curriculum prior to and during student teaching; and, techniques for teaching candidates how to use peer evaluation prior to submission to ensure quality responses.
