Push-hands is a fundamental technique in Tai Chi that requires little locomotor movement but substantial upper-body movements involving hands and arms and cognitive concentration. It is a perfect physical activity for active classroom breaks. The purpose of this session is to introduce a sequence of Tai Chi push-hands activities to physical and health educators. They can share it with classroom teachers and children for use during classroom breaks as part of the Let’s Move! Active Schools program.
