Using informational and multimedia activities, this session will highlight and critique the history of Multicultural Education (MCE) in physical education settings and introduce Culturally Relevant Pedagogy (CRP) for inclusion into physical education and PETE. Cultural competence will be emphasized as a catalyst for implementing a critical MCE and CRP, along with a discussion on how PETE professionals can include these approaches in PETE curriculums.
