Assessment of policy (i.e., physical education physical activity standards) and strategies for the quality and quantity of physical education in the U.S. and Idaho to address the overweight status of children has been problematic (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2009, 2011; Idaho State Department of Education, 2010). The purpose of this presentation is to share with practitioners and researchers the physical activity surveillance project in Idaho assessing recently adopted state physical activity standards.
