This workshop will provide an up-to-date summary of frequently used social media, as well as a look at new and emerging trends. Examining how technology trends impact safety, sexuality and relationships and lesson ideas for educating students about these issues will be presented. An exploration of what teens need to know about the practice of sexting, including prevention strategies and what to do if one “catches” a student sexting or receiving will be reviewed.
