Watching African Dances, attention is drawn to pulsating drumming, high energy dancing, brightness and naturalness of costumes, and interactions between dancers. But do not neglect what the movements and gestures mean! Ghanaian dances either tell a story or communicate messages to dignitaries present. Come and Dance, Chat with us! View filmed dances with commentary, followed by performing and interpreting the gestures learned--gaining a deeper appreciation for African Dances. This is an informative, fun session.
