This half-day session will examine the complex issues that accompany working in diverse athletic settings and aid in developing a philosophy that will enable one to be successful in such settings. Physical education teachers, coaches, and collegiate professionals will explore the issues of non-dominant and historically under-represented segments of the U.S. population with a particular emphasis on racial, ethnic, and gender issues.
