Based on a comprehensive analysis of youth sport, leadership, and culture, servant leadership has emerged as an effective leadership model for leaders involved with youth sport organizations. The attrition and burnout rates in youth sports can be minimized, which will help in reducing childhood obesity and Type II diabetes through servant leaders who create mastery motivational climates for their organizations and teams.
