There are a variety of educational methods available to develop coaching knowledge and a coaching philosophy (Irwin, Hanton, and Kerwin, 2004). This session examines the results of a nationwide study on over 1,000 college and high school coaches, focusing on the educational methods used by coaches with a winning percentage of .700 or greater. In addition, session participants will share and reflect on the impact of specific educational methods they used in becoming a coach.
