This workshop will present coaches with an understanding of how to develop an effective partnership with youth sport parents. Specifically, facilitators will discuss the benefits of involving parents, the different types of parents coaches may encounter, and ways to effectively engage parents. Participants will work in small groups to evaluate scenarios involving coach-parent dilemmas and then participate in whole-group discussions about multiple ways to handle presented cases with the goal to develop positive parent-coach collaboration.
