Student teaching is a vital part of the teacher preparation program, yet the lack of suitable placements limits its effectiveness and strains university supervision resources. This session reports our experience placing two student teachers with one cooperating teacher as an alternative to traditional placements. The data compares the effectiveness, advantages, disadvantages, and level of satisfaction of members of the triad involved with these paired placements.
