Recent media attention directed toward debilitating sport-related concussions in youth athletes has raised concerns in the legislative community as calls for action to protect kids in athletics has reached the floors of various state legislative bodies. This session will attempt to outline the problems and issues associated with sport-related concussion, current treatment trends and practices, and how various legislative efforts may impact professional practice for physical educators, coaches and athletic trainers.
