This session will introduce teachers and coaches (K-12) to mental skills training as a professional development strategy. Attendees will learn personal mental training techniques such as goal setting, positive thinking, visualization, and reflective thinking. Mental skills training for teachers/coaches allow educators to learn new strategies to grow in both knowledge and enjoyment of one’s profession. These techniques can be used in the classroom or sport setting for enhancing motivation, instructional effectiveness, and student performance.
