Significant research on adult health disparities has illuminated the nature, extent, root causes, complexities, and potential interventions in eliminating disparities. Yet, little attention has been focused on the specific health disparities experienced by children and youth. The Society for Public Health Education will report on the recommendations of an expert panel convened to identify evidence-based programs and policies at the national, state, and local levels to reduce youth health disparities and educational inequities.
