University faculty attending this program will gain insight about service-learning activities in non-laboratory health education/promotion and recreation courses. This program will present information regarding strategies and activities utilized in three service-learning courses and student evaluation results indicating the usefulness of such activities. This program is important because faculty should identify and use methods to allow students to apply course content in real-world experiences, and service-learning is a pedagogical tool that facilitates student learning and experiences.
