CEU OPPORTUNITY: Studies have reported that weight-bearing exercises increase bone density. Peak bone mass is achieved between the ages of 20 and 30. By age 20, approximately 98% of adult bone is formed. It is important to build up bone during this time frame so one can have additional bone stores for later life. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of a ten-week plyometric program on osteoclastic and osteoblastic activity in college students.
