A major issue in intercollegiate athletics is the lack of minorities among the ranks of head coaches at NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision institutions. The Black Coaches and Administrators (BCA) has stated that Title VII litigation is a viable strategy to increase the number of racial minority head coaches in major college football. This presentation will provide a legal analysis of the issue to determine if Title VII can bring about the change advocates envision.
