This session provides a detailed description of the use of iPads, FaceTime, iPhones, remote microphones and GoPros to allow university personnel to observe pre-service, intern and professional teachers in on and off-campus sites. Observation techniques, data collection protocols, intern and practitioner technology skills and mentor training are included in the presentation. Real-life examples will be shown to demonstrate how they can be used to improve teaching. Challenges to the process such as school internet access, privacy issues and administrative concerns will be addressed.
