The Centers for Disease Control has an assessment called the School Health Index, which is used to help schools evaluate their school's policies and programs. One of the modules in this tool is dedicated to family and community involvement. This session will provide a brief overview of the CDC’s School Health Index with an emphasis on the family and community involvement piece. This session will provide real life examples from other schools using this tool.
