Secondary health educators will be able to recognize the importance of a comprehensive health curriculum that includes where environmental health lessons fit into health curriculum, which relates to National Standards 1-3, 5 and 7-8. Teachers will review the importance of environmental health as it relates to consumerism in the units of nutrition, drugs and mental health. Teachers will also receive activity and lesson ideas to incorporate these concepts in their classrooms.
