As of February 2014, all 50 states have adopted concussion legislation which protects athletes ages 18 and younger in school and some community programs. Although different state to state, they all contain the basic components described in 2006 in the Lystedt Law. This presentation will focus on best practices for meeting the recommendations of these laws. Coaches, principals, athletic directors, physical educators and school health coordinators will benefit from the content of this session.
