Individuals on the autism spectrum can participate and benefit from sport/recreational activities in the same way as their typically developing peers. It is equally important for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) individuals to participate in physical activity, as they have more incidence of obesity. In this session, participants will learn creative and hands-on techniques to teach those with ASD. Video will be used to demonstrate activities being taught/coached. We will also role-play and encourage session goers to participate.
