The challenges confronting physical activity promotion and physical education (PE) require a holistic approach, one that will transition a district’s PE program from independent schools to a coordinated K-12 system. A case-study will be used to demonstrate how one district, through curriculum articulation, professional development and community outreach, approached this transformation.
