This session introduces participants to the benefits of teaching mindfulness to children and adolescents. It includes a brief review of the research and current directions in mindfulness-based interventions with children and adolescents in school settings. Participants will be led through a series of short mindfulness activities and discuss how to teach concepts and exercises in a developmentally appropriate manner. Integration of mindfulness skills into existing health education programming will also be discussed.
