The San Diego Unified School District elementary leadership team with funding from Community Putting Prevention to Work Grant and the California Endowment developed an intervention to improve moderate to vigorous physical activity (MVPA) throughout the school day. This five-year project produced a four-pronged approach addressing the many variables effecting elementary school students. Community partners include the University of California San Diego (UCSD), Department of Pediatrics School Wellness, UCSD Department of Athletics and the San Diego Chargers.
