Background/Purpose: One problem today was that students attitude of learning seem to be inactive. That undermined the abilities of learning and thinking. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Computer Simulation Program for Teaching Physical Education Critical-Thinking Skills (CSP-TPECTS) into teaching method of PE on the junior students' critical thinking intention of PE.

Method: A quasi-experimental design was used, and we selected two classes of junior students of college in Taiwan(n=75). Thirty-five (n=35) students were categorized into the experimental group and accepted 100-minutes CSP-TPECTS in the class while forty (n=40) students were set as the control group and took 100-minutes unrelated to CSP-TPECTS program. All groups completed the test of the scale of critical thinking intention of PE before and after the intervention. The analysis of ANCOVA, Repeated measures, and MANOVA were adopted.

Analysis/Results: The results revealed: The students in the experimental group had significantly improvement in their critical thinking intention of PE after the intervention of CSP-TPECTS program especially in the factors of reflection, open minded and empathy, and the analysis of systematicness factors of intention which were higher than pre-test (Wilks' Lambda=0.45, F(1,34)=41.93, p<.05; Wilks' Lambda=0.38, F(1,34)=54.57, p<.05; Wilks' Lambda =0.82, F(1,34)=7.28, p<.05). The scores of the experimental group students were significantly higher than control group in the scale on the post-test (Wilks' Lambda =0.37, F(3,68)=39.32, p<.05).

Conclusions: It suggested that CSP-TPECTS program could support critical thinking intention of PE and enhance abilities of thinking.
