Topics included during the session relate to (a) the past and current job market; (b) identifying what employers are looking for, and consequently the experiences a prospective employee should garner, and (c) steps to take in job hunting. The format of the session will be a combination of lecture/discussion. The goal is to discuss concerns, provide resources and guidance for graduate students and faculty in job hunting situations. Speakers will provide a general overview for all sub-disciplines and provide specific examples related to job searching in the teacher preparation, adapted physical activity, exercise science and health sub-disciplines. |
