How Good Coaches Make Tough Choices: What Will Players Learn from your Decisions and Actions? |
Most coaches are faced with difficult and sometimes agonizing decisions at some point during their coaching career. For some dilemmas, there are no “right” or “wrong” answers. For others, the “right” answer may have severe consequences in the won-loss column. This interactive session will examine dilemmas that deal with common coaching problems such as hazing, intent to injure and substance abuse. The message players receive from coaches’ actions will be examined and discussed by a panel of renowned sport social scientists and coaching educators. |
