How Do We Do That? A Practical Approach to Putting the Pieces Together for Implementing Assessment in Elementary Physical Education |
Two sessions in one! Christine Hopple and Larry Satchwell present "Practice Assessment (Really!) In Elementary Physical Education". Participate in a variety of instructional activities common to a developmentally appropriate curriculum AND receive practical methods of assessing them so that the "curriculum-assessment" link can be more clearly seen. Second, Sue Wedman Brittenham, Anne Spaulding, and Anne Turnacliff will present "Putting the Pieces of the Puzzle Together: Implementing Standards, Benchmarks & Assessments in Elementary Physical Education". Learn the process the teachers in Boulder, Colorado took to write a "teacher friendly" benchmark/assessment document. They will share the steps taken to write how a benchmark is taught and assessed. |
