Philosophy vs. Reality: Physical Education in the Changing University Environment |
From its historical roots in health, physical education has been forced to respond to changing sociological, political and economic circumstances. Restricted resources have led to an American university exquisitely sensitive to the demands of critical constituencies. In this presentation, the forces that have influenced physical education historically, and which continue to effect the directions of kinesiology are explored. |
