Developmental Coordination Disorder: Identification, Issues, and Interventions |
Children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) are estimated to comprise 6% of the population or about two children out of a class of 35. These children are characterized as those who are academically able but who have movement difficulties that affect their progress in academics and in activities of daily living. The session will provide information about DCD, issues in definition, as well as how to identify children with DCD. And importantly, how to intervene to help these children improve their movement capabilities. |
