Infusing Diversity into the PETE Curriculum: The Impact on Faculty and Students |
This presentation will review the diversity issues relevant to teacher education programs in physical education. Issues concerning the placement of teacher candidates into culturally diverse school populations, the infusion of diversity training into the PETE curriculum, and the attainment of accreditation standards for diversity in a meaningful way will be discussed. The effects of a diverse PETE program on both faculty and students will be presented in terms of culture, race, gender, and other diverse populations. |
