Insight into the National Board Certification Process |
This session seeks to provide insight into the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certification process for Early, Middle, Childhood Physical Education. Two National Board Certified Teachers will provide an overview of the portfolio development process and the assessment center exercises. Examples of the four required portfolio entries, both written and videotaped, will be shared. Assessment center procedural information will be provided along with suggested areas of study. Other discussion topics will include the time commitment required, reasons to pursue NBPTS Certification and types of supports needed while pursuing certification. |
