Witnessing secondary physical education in most schools today can be disheartening. After completing PETE programs with hands-on learning and practical experiences, many middle and high school teachers succumb to a minimalist approach to instruction once in the public school setting. If teachers have the skills, how can we help them use them again? This session will address ways to foster content, pedagogy, and dispositions that will improve the quality of secondary physical education.
