The purpose of this session will be to explore the role of Coordinated School Health (CSH) which can facilitate a statewide comprehensive school physical activity plan and the role PETE programs can play in CSH. Results of a CSH study in Louisiana indicated children who were classified as obese through BMI assessment performed at lower levels on the LEAP English Language Arts and LEAP Math test, compared with underweight, normal weight, and overweight peers (p<.05).
