NASPE/Collegiality and Collaboration in PETE
Speakers: | Ann-Catherine Sullivan, Otterbein University, Westerville, OH; Julienne Maeda, University of Hawaii - Manoa, Honolulu, HI; and Lynn Randall, University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB, Canada |
This session will provide insight into the unforeseen roles and duties of PETE faculty members. Similar to public school induction, parallel practices occur at the post-secondary level. Whether it means perpetuating a rite of passage practice “you need to do this because I did when I was new” or instituting practices employed for new teachers, this discussion needs to occur to retain and nurture new faculty growth; to continue being productive and involved tenured faculty.
