The Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA) is being developed as a nationally available assessment; assessing the teacher candidate’s ability in their readiness to teach. The TPA is a discipline-specific portfolio assessment used to evaluate teaching quality. The purpose of this presentation is to discuss how the TPA was implemented during the national field test. Presenters will discuss: impact on program, impact on lesson planning, and teacher candidate strengths and weaknesses on preparing the TPA.
