Today’s students easily adapt to new technology. Teachers can utilize technology more often: to teach children the relationship between calories consumed vs. calories expended; to encourage more physical activity; to remind children to brush their teeth; to recognize complicated emotions; and to develop critical/creative thinking skills. Technology also assists teachers and prospective teachers with classroom management and student assessment. This session will provide many practical ideas for using apps in the K-12 health classroom.
