This presentation will illustrate an innovative process for training preservice teachers to implement research-verified C & I models. The process originates with a common exemplary PE activity experience for PETE majors, which is situated early in the PETE program. This “Grade A” PE experience is used as a vehicle to address teacher socialization, showcase best practices, and provide a platform for the subsequent integration of key teaching-learning experiences throughout the remainder of the PETE program.
