Many colleges and universities are implementing distance learning to expand program offerings, increase enrollments, and offset budget shortfalls. There is high demand for online coursework at the post-secondary level and online programs often attract the “non-traditional” college student. This session will examine ways in which administrators can address the demand for online coursework while maintaining academic rigor, quality content delivery and student engagement. Roles and responsibilities of faculty members in distance learning will be articulated. (CEU)
