This session is an intergenerational tribute to Dr. LeRoy T. Walker, the first African American president of AAHPERD. This session will include key individuals who will share memories of Dr. Walker and his impact on the HPERD profession. Session will end with a roundtable discussion of ideas for continuing Dr. Walker’s vision of increasing student involvement and leadership of persons of color within the HPERD profession. Presented by the AAHPERD Social Justice & Diversity Committee.
