Convention Center: 209AB
Presider: Karen Clevenger, University of West Georgia, Carrollton, GA
Speaker: Anita Hoekelmann, Otto von Guericke University - Magdeburg, Germany, Magdeburg, Germany
The current two-year intervention program of dance combined with music was implemented as a means to examine the extent to which music and dance contribute to the delay of (or improvement in) age-related lags between cognitive processing and motor production. The session will provide attendees with a look at the ongoing results of the study in the measurable areas of balance, reaction time, rhythmical ability, fluid intelligence, and concentration memory.
